Wow! My very limited experience with rubberstamps (one year I made my own Christmas cards) leads me to appreciate this! And I have always loved this saying. I saw it adapted on a blog once to read "Blog as if no one is reading" and I think that is good advice for all bloggers -- do what you love and others will come read!

I wish I could follow the sentiment advice ... but sadly real life experiences make us wary. Don't know why we should care what others think, but we do.
